Was it when skirts rose and shoes opened up in the front, making the toes visible? The twenties? The thirties? Is it concievable, ancient civilizations did it?When did women start painting their toenails?
yeah maybe the late twenties or thirties in the western world,but parts in africa and the middle east used to cover the whole of their hands and feet (including toenails) with henna.This was a looooong time ago maybe in 400 AD or something.
