How long do you have to stay off your feet after having ingrown toenails removed?

I'm planning to have one ingrown toe nail removed and want a rough estimate of this since I work, drive, and start school soon. How long do you have to stay off your feet after having ingrown toenails removed?
Removal of an ingrown toe nail can be done in the minor operations section of the out patients department.

In a normal healthy young adult it can done during his first visit to the OPD under local anasthesia. The whole process will take about 1o minutes.

He can leave the OPD immediately after the operation and cpme for dressings initially after 3 days and then every other day . In 1 week the wound is healed.

He can start his normal duties on the day following the operation.

But if the person is a diabetic the doctor will prefer to control the blood sugar and do the operation.

Or if the site is badly infected the doctor may give antibiotics for a few days and do the operation

In your case you can get it done ad even go to school for the afternoon session.

For the full growth of the nail of the big toe it takes up to 3 months, but the wound gets healed in less than 7 days
