What should i do to get rid off toenail fungus?

You will need to talk to you physician about getting a prescription for an antifungal medication. Creams and lotions will not help it since the fungus is in the nail bed itself. You need a medication that will act systemically to affect it. Even then it takes awhile for the treatment to work just like it takes awhile to treat any fungal infection. It also takes time for the fungus that is already imbedded in the nails to grow out.

The problem is, however, the medications do have side effects including problems with the liver. You cannot drink while you are on the medication. Usually you get blood work taken to establish a baseline with respect to your liver functions. As with anything its risk vs benefit.

Talk to your doctor regarding this if you are concerned about your toenail fungus infection. What should i do to get rid off toenail fungus?
soak in listerine twice a day. My mother inlaw did it and it worked great her toenails are white and not thick and gross anymore. What should i do to get rid off toenail fungus?
vicks vapor rub
The treatment is to use Dakterin alcoholic solution as local application and to take Griseofulvin 500 mg Nocte. But see a Doctor and get his prescription.Griseofulvin is very toxic and change your blood composition.Specially for toe nail infection you have to take it for at least 6 months,as it takes 6 months for a new toe nail to grow and the nail bed has to be cleaned completely out of the fungus. So the question is are you going to risk your systemic health just for an ugly toe nail.Nizoral is an alternative but I have no experience to say how effective is this.Any way I think you have a Dermatologist close by to give you the best opinion.

Athletes Foot and other Fungus Infections

Athlete's foot is a fungus disease. A fungus needs a certain pH to grow. Changing the pH will destroy it. Any kind of vinegar(but I suggest using raw apple cider vinegar) in a ratio of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts warm water can be used. The acidity discourages growth of fungus on the feet. Soak your tootsies for about 15 to 30 minutes daily. Because toenail fungus is deeply embedded in the nail it may take several months to see improvement.

Soaking your feet in Epson salt every night, wearing clean socks, and new sneakers or shoes, not your favorite shoes or sneakers every day. and one more thing there is the cream in any pharmacy called Lotrimin which is an antifungal medication. use it religiously. if you don't you will lose the nail. The nail that grows back will be worse. hang in there.
